However, if you would like to guarantee to see a dolphin year-round while you are in Coffs Habour then you need to head to Dolphin Marine Conservation Park. I've been wanting to visit 'Margaret Olley's' home, which has been transported to the gallery, for quite a while. There is also a cafe here (the scones with strawberry jam are highly recommended) and a store to buy preserves, sauces, chocolate, jams, pickles and other produce, including fresh vine ripened tomatoes. Driving from Sydney to the Gold Coast should take you 8 hrs 21 mins in normal traffic. The Big Banana Fun Park has been in business since 1964, taking shape on a banana plantation. There was a coffee van and It was awesome in the cold autumn weather. St. Thomas' Anglican Church was built by convicts in the 19th century. There is a lookout with breathtaking views but I personally found quite scary. Only cost $10 to stay. The state forest is home to a number of walking tracks and lookouts, so it is easy to spend a day here exploring. It gives a beautiful panoramic view of the beautiful hills and the mountains to the visitor. Terrigal Skillon has impressive views of wamberal and Avoca beach. The drive through the waterfall way is in itself beautiful. Consider booking in advance. The place gets busy with visitors.The surrounding area are also busy with campers. Located in the grounds of the historic Roto House, you can visit the Koala Hospital to learn about koalas and see these threatened animals up close and personal. Now boasting much more than just the giant banana, its also home to a water park, ice-skating rink, giant slide, mini golf course and a 650m toboggan ride overlooking the Pacific Ocean, meaning theres plenty to see and do if youre either young or young at heart.
